Since B&I's formation in 1960, B & I has focused on large commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. The Specialized Projects Department was formed with the intention of bringing B & I's expertise and experience from the larger commercial projects to smaller commercial projects. The Specialized Projects Department is staffed with over ten 3-6 men crews which focus on sheetmetal, refrigeration, controls, split system and packaged roof top unit installation. Having multiple, smaller teams allows for flexibility to handle a 2,000 SF renovation, to a 150,000 SF new office building.
Each project manager has an engineering degree, which allows for educated HVAC system redesigns, retrofits, design builds, and energy management projects.
