During the construction of a building, the intricate system of waste, vent and water pipes that allows a plumbing fixture to operate properly is for the most part buried under ground, hidden behind a wall or suspended above a ceiling never to be seen after the initial installation. Because of their location it becomes very easy for the plumber to say "ah, that's good enough — who's going to see it anyway?"

Well, that's not the philosophy of the Plumbing Department at B & I Contractors. Neatness and accuracy are focal points that begin each day on every project. Now it has come back to pay off for one of our top producing Foreman, Keith Batten. At a recent Worker's Appreciation Party at the Charlotte Sports Park project sponsored by Hunt-Mathews/Taylor Construction and the Tampa Bay Rays, Keith was presented an award for the outstanding quality of work that he has spear-headed his crew to produce. As stated by Hunt Construction Manager, Mark McCaskey..." a few were deserving but Keith rose to the top".

Congratulations, Keith on receiving the award. You have set the bar at a new height for all to strive to meet.

As in many instances, it's the combined effort of many at the direction of one that brings success of this nature to a project. Those under Keith's direction that made this acknowledgement possible and deserving of sharing in this award were: Antonio and Ramon Garcia, Leonardo Rosas, Ed Klare, Lance Reynolds, Roberto Rodriguez, Mark Cerami, Lance Thomas, Anthony Targowski and Ken Fugate. "The Best of The Best" have risen to the top. Congratulations one and all. You are, indeed, OUTSTANDING PERFORMERS!
