Arjo Parker Bath hydrotherapy tub
The VA Nursing Home features two Arjo Parker Bath hydrotherapy tubs. The disinfectant console on the wall ensures the Parker Bath is sanitary for all patients and caregivers.
Beauty Parlor Sink
The salon includes a hydraulic Adjust-A-Sink beauty-parlor sink.



Clinical Sink
These clinical sinks consist of a large flushable basin, a wall-mounted service-sink faucet, and a hand-held bedpan washer operated by footpedals.
Wheelchair-accessible shower Wheelchair-accessible water-closet and lavatory
The VA Nursing Home has 160 patient rooms with one bathroom for every two rooms. Each bathroom has a pressure-balanced shower with hand-held spray, a wheelchair-access water closet with bedpan washer, and a wheelchair-access lavatory with wrist-blade handles. All faucets and showers throughout the nursing home were manufactured by Zurn Industries. The flush valves on the water closets and clinical sinks were made by Sloan Manufacturing.

was assembled using ProPress solderless copper fittings.



Water hammer arrestors
These Sioux Chief water hammer arrestors will prevent the water pipes from "thumping" when faucets are turned off.
Behind-the-scene plumbing for a wall-hung lavatory
The "behind-the-scene" plumbing for a wall-hung lavatory: the PVC drain/vent, two water supply pipes, and two support arms.
Installing a med gas line
A B & I plumber is installing one of the medical gas supply lines.



Domestic water storage tanks Water Main entering the building
Two domestic water storage tanks help ensure that water will always be available. The water supply enters the building through 4" copper tubing assembled with solderless fittings. The flanged butterfly valves allow one of the tanks to be isolated while the other tank continues to supply water.
1250-gallon Concrete Grease Interceptors
Two 1250-gallon concrete grease interceptors will prevent the kitchen grease waste from entering the public sewer system.

Four giant A.O. Smith gas-fired water heaters provide an ample supply of hot water to the Nursing
Home. The heaters had to be turned sideways to move inside the building.

Duplex water booster pump
The Canariis duplex booster pump provides adequate water pressure throughout the building.

Most of the water piping in the mechanical room was assembled using ProPress solderless fittings, which significantly reduced installation time.
Duplex water softener system
The duplex water softener system helps to remove the hard minerals from the southwest Florida water.



Commercial laundry machines Trench-drain and laundry machine plumbing
Commercial laundry machines and similar electric appliances are typically provided by other subcontractors. B & I Contractors provides the plumbing installation and drainage systems for these machines.
