B & I Contractors, Inc., provides an FTP server for uploading and downloading data files for use by our employees, clients, and vendors.
Use of B & I's FTP server is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- This server is for official business of employees, clients, vendors, and other interested parties of B & I Contractors only.
- Anonymous logins are not allowed; you must be logged in with a valid username and password to upload or download files. To request a username and password, contact the FTP Coordinator.
Our FTP server can be accessed through several methods...
 Firefox
Firefox and some other web browsers require manual access to FTP sites. You can also use manual access with Internet Explorer 6.
- The FTP address and username must be typed into your browser bar as follows:
ftp://MYUSERNAME:MYPASSWORD@ftp.bandicontractors.com
- Replace MYUSERNAME and MYPASSWORD with a valid username and password.
- All the symbols :// : @ . . must be as they appear above.

Once you are logged into the FTP site, you will be in an explorer-type window that contains a README file, instructions for downloading and uploading, and all the data files currently available for download.
FTP clients provide access to FTP sites without going through a web browser. An FTP client is typically faster and more versatile when working with multiple files and directories. If you only need to access a few files, a browser will do fine. However, if you use our FTP server frequently or are experiencing headaches when uploading or downloading large files with a web browser, you might consider using an FTP client. There are many good freeware, shareware, and proprietary FTP clients available on the internet.
- Using an FTP client, connect to ftp.bandicontractors.com using port 21 and normal login.
- Provide your username and password when prompted.

Download managers are programs that make downloading large or multiple files a breeze. They offer the advantage of resumable downloads, which can be a haven for anyone trying to download large files on slow or intermittent connections. For users with fast connections, they can max out your download speeds and let you to download several files at the same time. There are a variety of freeware, shareware, and proprietary download managers available.
Nearly all download managers allow access to FTP sites, and the methods will vary from program to program. If your download manager has a browsing feature, you should be able to access our FTP site using the Manual Access method listed above.
